Mohamad Ali El Hussaini at the United Nations International Conference on Youth Immunization Initiatives: Intellectual security in the face of extremism and terrorism is a top priority

The Secretary General of the Arab Islamic Council,Dr Mohamad Ali El Husseini, participated in the United Nations International Conference in Geneva, entitled "Initiatives to Immunize Young People Against Ideas of Extremism and Mechanisms to Activate It," under the auspices of the Muslim World League.

El Husseini presented a working paper, he also held a series of meetings from participants from several Arab, Islamic and foreign countries, and youth issues and issues of concern to the Arab and Islamic worlds were discussed.

El Husseini assured the conference that Islam did not come to coerce people or call for hatred and militancy, but rather warned them, rejected them, and fought them because they violated its foundations and values ​​such as love, tolerance, moderation, and moderation.

He stressed the importance of the topic discussed by the conference in all respects, in view of the serious challenges posed by the phenomenon of extremism to European societies, whatever their religious and intellectual sources, focusing on the necessity of research in finding new mechanisms to activate initiatives to immunize young people from extremism and terrorism, because they are the most targeted because of the ease of being affected Their fertile minds with those strict ideas.

El Husseini said: We have felt that in recent years, a dire security situation, due to the spread and spread of frightening extremist ideology that ended in terrorist operations that claimed the lives of innocent people, until this phenomenon has become a state of phobia among all, and countries and international organizations and bodies have started sounding the alarm due to the threats they pose. This phenomenon on the security and stability of countries and societies.

El Husseini stressed that extremist thought is a pathological phenomenon such as the virus, but that immunity against it is possible by creating an antidote to antidote by knowing its sources, weakening it, and eliminating it.

El Husseini added: The phenomenon of extremism did not come from a vacuum. Rather, it came as a result of the absence, absence or weakening of the moderate moderate discourse. It was replaced by calls for extremism from suspicious associations and organizations, especially through social media, to poison the minds of youth.
